WebAlthough I still am getting a few seemingly simple objects where the edges of the low poly are showing in the normals (I've checked that the smoothing groups are correct and beyond resetting xforms and exporting the model I'm not sure what else I can do to clean it out). And also, if you are worried about the polycount increasing if you add a bevel, having a hard edge on every edge is already increasing the effective polycount of a model in UE4. WebThe odd thing is that both ZBrush and XNormal apply the "padding" to the UV edges where the flat areas appear (it's much more evident in XNormal where you can tune the padding value). Like they interpret those polygons as areas that dont belong to the rest of the model, like they're actually outside of the UV map's outline.
