If you have no distance between the string and fret 1 that’ll be the cause. It could be a neck relief issue - easily checked but I’m guessing it’s the nut slot, like most others who’ve responded. The ‘tinny’ sound comes from you not fretting all the way, and wasn’t a big problem in this clip.
